Note:
In order to provide the best service possible by optimizing the band available, the service will not be interrupted after the overload threshold is reached, but it will be “reduced” according to the “Fair Access Policy” (FAP) .
-It is possible to purchase 1 GB “coins” (calculated as volume down plus volume up) at a cost of 10 euros
-The traffic between midnight and 5 AM is calculated as 50 % of the actual one.
Supply conditions:
Warranty on purchased items: 12 months
Delivery time: 20 days at the most, from the date of the order confirmation
Terms of payment: Single invoice and payment at the time of the order confirmation for what concerns the kit; payment every two months for what concerns the subscription.
All the services and products mentioned above do not include VAT.

FAP - FAIR ACCESS POLICY
-
The FAP is aimed at guaranteeing a fair sharing among all the users of the available resources in terms of pass-band, by providing the best performance possible with priority for “regular” users and by controlling the broadband sharing and partitioning among the members of a changeable and heterogeneous population of users: conceived to favor the best performance of the Service in normal conditions, it limits temporarily who is making an anomalous use and consuming resources at other Clients’ expense.
-
Target nominal service of the satellite provider
- At least 60 % of the peak values for 90 % of the time
-
At least 25 % of the peak values for 95 % of the time
-
Web browsing applications and e-mail services
-
Low speed and low priority for peer-to-peer applications
- he NOC teleport measures the traffic volume at intervals of 15 minutes, and calculates the integral of the volume on determined time periods. Currently the periods foreseen by the FAP are of one hour, four hours, one day, one week, four weeks, depending on the sliding time window (STW) mechanism. If a user’s traffic within one of these temporal windows exceeds the volume limit, the FAP reduces the band width to that specific irregular user. As soon as the STW traffic volume returns to comply with the limiting parameters, the FAP gives the whole band width back again.

FAIR ACCESS POLICY
1. Purpose: ensure a fair distribution of the available resources in terms of broadband network to all regular users, with the aim of providing the best possible service and optimising the resource sharing..
2. Satellite provider's intended nominal service:
- A minimum of 50% of the peak values for 90% of the time
- A minimum of 20% of the peak values for 95% of the time
- Web browsing applications and e-mail services
- Low speed and low priority for peer to peer applications
3. In case of “irregular” users (i.e. those users whose average traffic exceeds – regularly and at specific hours of the day – the statistical models envisaged bt the satellite provider) who reduce the available bandwidth, the provider reserves the right to degrade their respective service, until the use is back within the statistical average as to traffic. |
